CA Wage Order 17-Miscellaneous Employees (ENG)

California’s Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) regulates wages and hours of nonexempt employees — requiring all California employers to post at least 1 of the 17 Wage Orders in each workplace for employees to view — specific to the industry or occupation it covers.

Specific Industry

Wage Order 17 regulates wages, hours and working conditions for Miscellaneous Employees.

“Miscellaneous employees” means any industry or occupation not previously covered by Wage Orders 1-16, and all employees not specifically exempted in, the IWC’s Wage Orders or otherwise exempted by law.
