Supervisors play a critical role in supporting organizations, but without proper training, they can also become a source of compliance risk—especially when they manage a California-based workforce. Supervisors are typically responsible for daily enforcement of California’s wage and hour requirements, including providing employees with meal and rest breaks and preventing off-the-clock work. Ensuring supervisors clearly understand these legal requirements is essential to maintaining compliance.

In addition, recent reforms to the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) include a cap on potential penalties for employers that take “all reasonable steps” to comply with the Labor Code, which includes training supervisors on California wage and hour requirements.

To support this effort, CalChamber now offers live, in-person and virtual Wage and Hour Training for your California supervisors.

This one-hour interactive training can be presented on-site at your workplace or virtually by CalChamber’s highly qualified attorney trainers and is tailored specifically to key wage and hour topics supervisors encounter when supervising employees in California, including:

Understanding timekeeping requirements.
Preventing off-the-clock work.
Providing compliant meal and rest breaks.
Handling paid sick leave requests.

The attorney trainers present real-life scenarios, quizzes and questions to help supervisors understand and comply with the legal requirements, and supervisors can directly interact with the trainers and receive real-time feedback on their questions and concerns.

Please note: A non-refundable travel surcharge of $500 will be added if the training site is greater than 250 miles from our Sacramento Headquarters.

Cancellation and Change Policy: If you need to cancel your in-person training reservation, please email seminars@calchamber.com or call (800) 331-8877, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT.

Cancellations/Changes more than 24 hours

Cancellations are subject to a $100 registration service charge per scheduled training session, in addition to the non-refundable $500 travel surcharge (if applicable).
Scheduling changes are subject to a $100 registration service charge per scheduled training session. There is an additional $250 fee per round-trip airfare reservation (if applicable). Scheduling changes are subject to trainer availability. If you need to reschedule your confirmed training session(s), please propose multiple options for new training dates. We cannot guarantee the desired date for rescheduling will be available but will do our best to accommodate.

Cancellations/Changes 24 hours or less

For training sessions that are cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled training session(s) all fees paid are non-refundable.
