SAN FRANCISCO (CITY AND COUNTY)

San Francisco Public Health Emergency & Military Leave Notices Poster (36.5" x 23")

  • Applies to employers with 100 or more employees, whether or not all of them are located in San Francisco.
  • The poster includes the San Francisco Military Leave Pay Protection Act notice that was released in June 2023 and took effect on February 19, 2023, and the Public Health Emergency Leave notice which took effect on October 1, 2022.
  • This poster includes English, Spanish, Chinese and Tagalog.

San Francisco Formula Retail Employee Rights Ordinance Poster (17” x 22.5”)

  • Contains the official employment notice provided by San Francisco for covered employers. This ordinance is aimed at "formula retailers," which are, in general, large chain businesses.
  • This ordinance covers any business that:
    • Employs twenty (20) or more employees in San Francisco; and
    • Owns or operates a "formula retail establishment;"
      • A “formula retail establishment” must be located in San Francisco, fall under the City’s Planning Code definition of “formula retail use,” and have at least 40 establishments worldwide.
      • “Formula retail use” can cover many types of businesses. To be covered, the business must have at least two of the following features:
        • A standardized array of merchandise;
        • A standardized façade;
        • A standardized décor and color scheme;
        • Uniform apparel;
        • Standardized signage; and
        • A trademark or service mark.
  • This poster includes English, Spanish, Chinese and Tagalog.

San Francisco Requirements:

Employers must display the applicable posters in a conspicuous place at the workplace or job site where any employee works, usually in a break room or similar common space.

Employers must post all notices in English, Spanish, Chinese and any other language spoken by at least five percent of the employees at the workplace or job site.
