Note: Employers who fail to comply with San Francisco posting requirements and local employment laws may be subject to administrative citations, penalties, and civil actions.

Based on your number of employees, purchase San Francisco's mandatory postings as a single poster, a 2-poster set, a 3-poster set, or a 4-poster set:

Employers must display the applicable posters in a conspicuous place at the workplace or job site where any employee works, usually in a break room or similar common space.

Effective July 1, 2023, the new San Francisco minimum wage is $18.07/hour and requires an updated posting for all San Francisco employers on that date.
- Note: If you've previously purchased either a single San Francisco Labor Law Poster (1 to 4 employees) or any 2023 poster sets from CalChamber, you’ll need to replace the San Francisco Labor Law Notice Poster (Item PSFL), which reflects the updated minimum wage notice, as described above.
On February 19, 2023 – for San Francisco employers with 100+ employees – the new Military Leave Pay Protection Act Ordinance took effect. The Office of Labor Standards Enforcement released the notice in June 2023.
On January 1, 2023 – for San Francisco employers with 20+ employees – Health Care Security Ordinance (HCSO) rate increases took effect; and on July 12, 2022, the Family Friendly Workplace Ordinance amendments took effect.
On October 1, 2022 – for San Francisco employers with 100+ employees – the new Public Health Emergency Leave Ordinance took effect.
CalChamber Poster Details:
The San Francisco Labor Law Notice Poster (26" x 26") contains official employment notices required by San Francisco's Minimum Wage, Paid Sick Leave, Nondiscrimination, and Consideration of Salary History Ordinances in the required languages. These notice and minimum wage requirements apply to all employers with employees, including part-time and temporary employees who perform work in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Fair Chance Notice (17.5" x 30.5") applies to employers located or doing business in San Francisco with 5 or more employees located anywhere.
The San Francisco Workplace Ordinances Poster (35" x 24") contains notices for the Family Friendly Workplace, the Health Care Security Ordinance, and the Paid Parental Leave Ordinance in the required languages. These notices apply to employers with 20 or more employees, whether or not all of them are located in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Public Health Emergency Leave Notice Poster (18.5" x 27") applies to employers with 100 or more employees, whether or not all of them are located in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Military Leave Pay Protection Act Poster (17” x 13”) applies to employers with 100 or more employees, whether or not all of them are located in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Formula Retail Employee Rights Ordinance Poster (17” x 22.5”) contains the official employment notice provided by San Francisco for covered employers. This ordinance is aimed at "formula retailers," which are, in general, large chain businesses.
This ordinance covers any business that:
- Owns or operates a “formula retail establishment;” and
- A “formula retail establishment” must be located in San Francisco, fall under the City’s Planning Code definition of “formula retail use,” and have at least 40 establishments worldwide.
- “Formula retail use” can cover many types of businesses. To be covered, the business must have at least two of the following features:
- A standardized array of merchandise;
- A standardized façade;
- A standardized décor and color scheme;
- Uniform apparel;
- Standardized signage; and
- A trademark or service mark.
- Employs twenty (20) or more employees in San Francisco.
Employers must post all notices in English, Spanish, Chinese and any other language spoken by at least five percent of the employees at the workplace or job site.
- The San Francisco Labor Law Notice Poster includes English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian and Tagalog (Minimum Wage Notice); English, Spanish, Chinese and Tagalog (Paid Sick Leave and Salary History Notices). The Nondiscrimination Notice is in English only.
- The San Francisco Fair Chance Notice, the San Francisco Workplace Ordinances Poster, and the San Francisco Public Health Emergency Leave Notice Poster all include the following languages: English, Spanish, Chinese and Tagalog.
- The San Francisco Military Leave Pay Protection Act Poster includes the following languages: English, Spanish, Chinese, and Tagalog.
- The San Francisco Formula Retail Employee Rights Ordinance Poster includes the following languages: English, Spanish, Chinese, and Tagalog.
