California Paid Family Leave Pamphlets (Spanish) - FLS
DESCRIPTION
California employers must provide employees information about their rights to Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefits at the time of hire, and when taking a leave of absence for a reason that may entitle them to benefits.
Each pack contains 20 PFL pamphlets in Spanish. Since you have Spanish-speaking employees you’ll need English and Spanish versions.
Remember, not informing employees of their rights in the workplace can result in lawsuits and fines.
Part of the State Disability Insurance (SDI) program, PFL benefits provide eligible employees partial wage replacement for as much as six weeks during any 12-month period.
Information in the PFL pamphlet is required by California state law and must be provided to all new employees AND employees taking a leave of absence for a reason that may entitle them to PFL wage replacement benefits, such as caring for a seriously ill family member or to bond with a new child.
Including these pamphlets in your orientation kits and giving one to every employee taking a leave for a covered reason fulfill an important legal obligation.
The PFL pamphlet:
- Describes the PFL Benefits Program in California in Spanish
- Outlines what makes employees eligible or ineligible for PFL benefits
- Explains how to apply for the benefits
- Fulfills your legal obligationto distribute PFL benefits information to all new hires and again to those becoming absent for a covered reason
