Compliance Alert: CalChamber's poster reflects Sonoma's new minimum wage rates that take effect on January 1, 2024: $17.60/hour for businesses with 26 or more employees, and $16.56/hour for businesses with 25 or fewer employees. This requires an updated posting on that date.

Note: Employers who fail to comply with Sonoma posting requirements and local employment laws may be subject to administrative citations, penalties and civil actions.

Covered Employers/Employees

All employees who perform at least two (2) hours of work in a particular week within the geographic boundaries of the City of Sonoma must be paid wages of not less than the minimum wage for each hour worked.

Required Notices

Every employer must post the minimum wage notice in a conspicuous place at any workplace or job site where any employee works, and where it will be seen by all employees.

Posting Specifics

Employers must post this notice in the languages spoken by more than 10% of employees.
