Covered Employers/Employees
The Santa Cruz Anti-Discrimination Ordinance applies to all employers with five or more employees. It does not apply to religious associations or corporations not organized for private profit.
Required Notices
CalChamber’s 11” x 17” Santa Cruz Anti-Discrimination poster (English and Spanish combined) contains the official notice as required by the City of Santa Cruz Anti-Discrimination Ordinance.
Employers must post the notice in a conspicuous place where business is conducted.
Employers who fail to comply with the Santa Cruz ordinance may be guilty of an infraction, and subject to administrative complaints and civil actions.
Posting Specifics
Employers must post the notice in both English and Spanish. If more than ten percent of your employees speak a language other than English or Spanish as their native language, you must post the notice in those languages.
