Compliance Alert: West Hollywood’s minimum wage is currently $19.08/hour. Starting July 1, 2024, the minimum wage for hotel employees will increase to $19.61/hour. The rate for all other employees will remain at $19.08/hour. CalChamber's 2024 poster reflects West Hollywood's current minimum wage valid through December 2024. An updated posting will be required January 1, 2025.
Note: Employers who fail to comply with West Hollywood posting requirements and local employment laws may be subject to administrative citations, penalties and civil actions.
Covered Employers/Employees
The West Hollywood MWO and its leave provisions apply to all employers who directly or indirectly employ or exercise control over the wages, hours, or working conditions of any employee. Any employee who works at least two (2) hours in a calendar week within the geographic boundaries of West Hollywood must be paid wages no less than the minimum wage for each hour worked.

Posting Specifics
Every employer must post notices in English, Spanish, and any other language spoken by at least five percent (5%) of the employees. Employers must post the minimum wage notice in a conspicuous place at any workplace or job site where any employee works.
