Effective July 1, 2023, the new City of Los Angeles’ minimum wage is $16.78/hour. This requires an updated posting for all City of Los Angeles employers since that date.
- If you've previously purchased a July 2023 edition of the City of Los Angeles Labor Law Poster from CalChamber which reflects the updated minimum wage notice, as described above, you're in compliance.
- If you've previously purchased a single City of Los Angeles Labor Law Poster (1 to 9 Employees) or 2-poster set (10+ Employees) dated 2018 or later from CalChamber, you’ll need to purchase the City of Los Angeles Labor Law Poster (Item PLACL) which reflects the updated minimum wage notice, as described above.
On April 1, 2023, the City of Los Angeles’ new Fair Work Week Ordinance (FWWO) took effect. Covered employers must post a notice informing employees of their rights under this ordinance. The notice must be posted annually.

CITY OF LOS ANGELES
The City of Los Angeles Labor Law Notice Poster (24" x 22") in English/Spanish/Simplified Chinese combined contains the official Minimum Wage and Paid Sick Leave employment notices required by the Los Angeles Office of Wage Standards. This notice is mandatory for all employers, regardless of size.
The City of Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative Poster (24" x 14") in English/Spanish combined contains the required notice limiting the use of criminal history information by Los Angeles employers. This notice is mandatory for employers located or doing business in the City of Los Angeles that have 10 or more employees in Los Angeles.
The City of Los Angeles Fair Work Week Poster (30" x 21") in English/Spanish/Simplified Chinese combined contains the official employment notice provided by the city. This ordinance covers any business that:
- Is identified as a retail business under retail trade categories 44-45 in the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS);
- Directly, indirectly or through an agent or any other person, including through the services of a temporary service or staffing agency, exercises control over the wages, hours or working conditions of any employee; and
- Has 300 or more employees globally and any working in Los Angeles City.
Employers with employees working in the City of Los Angeles must display the applicable posters in a conspicuous place at the workplace or jobsite where any employee works, usually in a break room or similar common space.
Employers must post the Minimum Wage, Paid Sick Leave, Fair Chance, and Fair Work Week notices in English and any language spoken by at least five percent (5%) of the employees at a workplace or jobsite.
