Description Compliance Alert: CalChamber's 2023 poster reflects Santa Clara's new minimum wage of $17.20/hour that takes effect on January 1, 2023. A new posting is required on that date. Covered Employers/Employees All employers who maintain a facility in Santa Clara or are subject to the city’s business license tax. All employees who perform at least two hours (2) of work in a calendar week within the geographic boundaries of the City of Santa Clara must be paid no less than the minimum wage for each hour worked. Required Notices CalChamber’s 24” x 14” Santa Clara Minimum Wage poster (English, Spanish, Chinese combined) contains the official notice with the current minimum wage as required by the City of Santa Clara Minimum Wage Ordinance. Every employer must post the Santa Clara minimum wage notice in a conspicuous place at any workplace or job site where any employee works. Employers who fail to comply with Santa Clara’s minimum wage ordinance may be subject to administrative citations, compliance orders, fines or penalties, and civil actions.Posting Specifics Employers must post this notice in the top three languages spoken in the city, based on latest available census information.
