Posting Specifics
Employers must display the applicable posters in a prominent place at the workplace or job site where any employee works, usually in a break room or similar common space.
Covered employers must post notices informing employees of their rights under these ordinances:
The Emeryville Labor Law Poster (24.5” x 16”) in English/Spanish/Chinese combined contains the official employment notices required by City of Emeryville’s Minimum Wage and Paid Sick Leave Ordinances. These notice obligations apply to all employers with employees, including part-time and temporary employees, who perform at least two hours of work in one calendar week in Emeryville. The poster must be posted in all languages spoken by 10 percent or more of your employees at a location. Next Required Update: July 1, 2025
The Emeryville Fair Workweek Poster (29”x 19”) in English/Spanish/Chinese combined contains the official employment notice provided by Emeryville for employers covered by the Emeryville Fair Workweek Ordinance. It applies to certain retail and fast food “firms.” A “firm” is a business organization or entity consisting of one or more establishments under common ownership or control:
- Retail firms with 56 or more employees globally; and
- Fast-food firms with 56 or more employees globally and 20 or more employees within the city limits of Emeryville.
- Covered employers also include franchisees associated with a franchisor or network of franchisees with more than 12 locations globally. Separate entities that form an integrated enterprise will be counted as a single employer under the Ordinance.
The Emeryville Fair Workweek Poster must be posted in English, Spanish, and any other languages as provided in implementing regulations.
