A recording of the two-part live event: May 19 - May 20, 2022
Webinar Description
Providing eligible employees with appropriate leaves of absences can often be complex and confusing. Two of the most common leaves of absence — the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) and its federal counterpart, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) — add to the confusion because they provide for both overlapping and separate family and medical leaves, thanks to the CFRA's expansion in 2021.
Larger employers with 50 or more employees covered by the CFRA and the FMLA must pay careful attention because these two leave laws interact differently. The CFRA expansion not only broadened employee eligibility but also expanded the qualifying reasons for which an employee may take CFRA leave.
During this two-day intensive webinar, CalChamber’s employment law experts will delve into the many requirements for properly administering leave under the CFRA. Join us to learn about the recent changes to this job-protected leave, related paperwork and documentation, and much more.
