Note: Employers who fail to comply with Richmond posting requirements and local employment laws may be subject to administrative citations, penalties and civil actions.
Covered Employers/Employees
All employers, regardless of where they are located, with employees who perform at least two (2) hours of work in a calendar week within the geographical boundaries of the City of Richmond. Exceptions exist for employers who do not pay for 800 hours or more of employee labor during any two-week period in a calendar year.
Required Notices
CalChamber’s 16” x 13” Richmond Minimum Wage poster (English and Spanish combined) contains the official notice with the current minimum wage as required by the City of Richmond.
Every employer must post the City of Richmond's minimum wage notice in a conspicuous place at any workplace or job site where any employee works.
Posting Specifics
Employers must post this notice in all languages spoken by at least 5% of employees.
