Note: Employers who fail to comply with Santa Monica posting requirements and local employment laws may be found guilty of a misdemeanor or may be subject to fines, administrative citations, and civil actions.
Covered Employers/Employees
All employers, regardless of where they are located, with employees who perform at least two (2) hours of work in a particular week within the geographic boundaries of the City of Santa Monica.
Required Notices

- Santa Monica Minimum Wage Notice
- Santa Monica Paid Sick Leave Notice
Every employer must post Santa Monica’s minimum wage and paid sick leave notices in a conspicuous place at any workplace or jobsite where any employee works.
Posting Specifics
Employers must post this notice in English, Spanish and any language spoken by at least 5 percent of employees.
